Must find a way off this planet.. Must find a way..
The ground was soggy from the rain. Every step required an extra pull as her metallic boots got stuck to the mud. She felt soaking wet, but that did not stop her from pushing on. Her clunky steps defied the winds one by one as she crossed the field of this alien planet. There was an outpost just up ahead, if only she could get to the warp pad she would be able to go back home. Her eyes frantically scanned her surroundings as she kept on running as fast as she could. Her stunted legs were a cruel reminder that she could only traverse the ground so fast. Ideally she would use the boosters in her boots to propel herself forward, but the weather conditions made that option less than optimal. By the Diamonds, she was going to have to make one hell of a long report explaining her absence. Then again.. "If I return, then what? I'm the only one left. Where would they even assign me to?! Nobody wants a deficient who has to rely on limb enhancers! They'd probably blame me for the ship too-!"
Her self monologue was cut short as she fell forward into a pool of wet. If she were not soaked before, she was now. In addition she was covered in filth, the dirt sticking to her orange colored form as she forced herself back up. "Stupid.. planet.. I HATE YOU!" Her voice screamed in anger as she kicked into the mud. The heavens echoed her rage with a thunderous clap. The sudden noise startled her into a still. Remember: It is just an electrostatic discharge. Nothing to worry about. Nothing too different from a destabilizer. A.. destabilizer? She did not want to get destabilized! The area lit up as another bolt of lightning struck in the distance, uncovering a silhouette on top of a nearby hill. Tiger managed only to catch a glimpse of the glowing red eyes stalking her before she began to run. "I'm so dead!"
Her strength and stamina chipped away as she pushed against her physical limits. She could feel it - she was being chased! But the warp pad.. It's so close! All she needed to do was get past this hill. Yet as she was about to reach the top, she could feel her footing slip. Not again! Except this time, it wasn't her own fault. Something was pulling her down. Tiger looked back and saw mud entangling itself around her like slimey ropes. "But how? Mud can't move on its own!" She complained. In the same instance she would find the answer to her question as she saw the red glow of a gemstone animating the mud around it, forming a beastly swamp creature. It was her stalker! She had been caught by that beast!
