Chalk sat there for a moment not even realizing that the door had opened allowing him an exit. ~ I really need to do more training~ he thought to self. He looked around the room and spotted the exit. He carefully peaked into the corridor. It seemed to be a long hallway, though, not so long that he couldn't see the other side. ~I don't trust this corridor~ he thought well carefully scanning it for traps. "Don't tell me it's what I think it's going to be..." He said as he started sprinting to the other side. The ceiling started descending. "Oh come on!" He mumbled, "If you're going to try to kill me at least be original!" He yelled as he burst through the door. He looked at the corridor completely close, thinking that this challenge was over. Only to turn around and come face-to-face to... himself? He watched in shock as his copy picked him up and threw him on to a platform. Standing up he observed the room he was in. He was on the raises pedestal surrounded by lava. The door he came through sank into the walls and was replaced by stone. He stared at the copy of himself for a moment before summoning his weapon and throwing it at him. - ~this is gonna be a helluva a long fight~ he thought, the adrenaline starting to fill his veins
For his part, the black gem had skid to a stop in front of a massive set of stairs. And nothing else. He stared at the thing blankly, wondering who's bright idea was it to place this in here just when the going was getting good. His legs quickly pushed under him, sending him sailing upwards and hopefully crossing above all the stairs- What.
The Black gem's eyes stared. He could not, for his life, see an end to the stairs under him; in fact, the longer he stared, the more he got the impression that there was no end to the flight of stairs. That didn't make sense, though! If he continued pushing, he was bound to- Clang.
What in the world? The black gem glanced down behind him to the floor he had jumped from, only to see it suddenly shift, before it fully sprung off the soil, massive spikes (wait, were those teeth?!) slamming up and down into the stairs... as it started following him up the stairs.
"What the hell?!" Was all he could cry out as he started leaping up, whatever was eating the stairs easily keeping up with even his powerful legs; What the heck was going on?!
Chalk wondered how he was going to defeat himself, they are literally the same person, sort of. Does that mean Copy-Emerald had his abilities? ~Guess it's time to find out!~ he thought. He charged at himself, planning to slice copy-emerald with the chakram, he barely hit him. Emerald flipped backwards onto the pedestal. ~He knew I was going to stray from my usual strategy to try to get an advantage... Hmm, what abou-~ his train of thought was interrupted by copy-emerald talking. "What? Gonna try tricking me into falling into the lava?" it smirks, laughing at him. "It seems you have already forgotten that I am you." He charges at Chalk with one big chakram aimed for his head. Chalk barely dodges copy-emerald's attack. Swiftly jumping to the platform next to where the door was supposed to be. He pivoted around and started firing energy bolts at copy-emerald, who started doing the same. ~great, a fire fight, in the open without any cover.~
The fire fight continued for a brief 13 seconds before Chalk leaped up and summoned a barrier as a platform. ~lets do some on-field-experimentation! He tried moving the platform a bit and it did. ~So, does this mean I can?~ He started racing around the room on the barricade, like it was some sort of hover board! ~this is amazing! Now I ca-~ an energy bolt hits him square in the shoulder knocking him off the energy-board and onto the platform.
"For fu-" He's interrupted by a foot smashed on his face. "Watch your language, 'me'" Said copy-emerald, waving his index finger, laughing. He held his hand up to chalks face, preparing a final shot to end him. Copy-emerald looked down at Chalk before he finished him. "say good- Wait? Where are you? You clod?!" said copy-emerald, very confused. "Right here!" replied Chalk from behind, as copy-emerald turned around, he got rammed in the face with an energy board, and was knocked into the fiery liquid below. Chalk stopped for a moment to take some unnecessary breaths as the exit door slowly rumbles open.

The entire thing looked straight out of a B-Rated Horror film, except that as far as Carbonado was concerned, it was entirely terrifying. He had little interest in getting eaten by whatever tha hell it was that was trying to crunch him, but no matter how fast he went there seemed to be no end to the flight of stairs. He needed to find another way out!
Looking around hastily, he noted that while there were no doors or obvious exits, there were a lot of arc shaped panel windows, most of them depicting differents settings on themselves. He pressed his lips together in a tight line; He had no way of knowing if behind them there was simply more concrete, but he knew he couldn't out run the floor's jaws forever.
Taking a deep breath and muttering a swift prayer, the black gem suddenly leapt towards one of the panel windows, his leg kicking out at it as he prepared himself to break his way thro- Was his leg phasing through the window? No, his entire body was phasing through it, letting him enter an state of free fall. Where the heck was he now?
"... Not getting eaten by the floor, Babeh! That's where I am!"
Chalk's arm was pretty much normal now, which he was grateful for as he peered into the next room. The next room was... empty? He stepped into the sterile white chamber ~Nothing. Absolutely nothing~ He attempted to use his future vision to find out what to do, but all he saw was himself sitting in the middle of the room, doing nothing.
He started going to ever part of the room, putting his ear up to the wall, floor, or ceiling, and gently knocking to see if they were hallow, in hopes of finding a secret exit. Nope, solid, the whole room. ~What if my future vision was right? Am I just supposed to wait?~ He walked to the middle of the room, and sat down. ~I guess I'll just have to wait and find out then!~
Carbonado landed in yet another interesting room; this one was once again flooded with water; large pipes filled the room, some of them below water level, some of them above it. Pursing his lips, the black gem leaped on one of the pipes above the water, noting that they allowed him to traverse the room for the most part. At this point, he was searching the room for a clue as to what he needed to do then; glancing at the exit, a pretty simple gate at the end of the room, he noted the rather massive and tough looking lock held by chains at the center of the door.
Pursing his lips, the Black gem glanced around; surely, there must have been something for him to search, right? He didn't think it would be as easy as, say, breaking the lock. Not finding anything above water level, the gem turned his gaze towards the inside of the water. As expected, a single, odd looking key moved around the water, making the gem pause.
'How is that thing moving.' His mind flatly dispensed the question for nobody in particular to hear as he stared at the moving key, noting the water seemed to... distort if he followed the line of movement of the key. Well, he wouldn't be getting the key by staying there doing nothing. The Black gem leaped into the water swiftly, his strong legs kicking behind him to push him towards the key rather swiftly, his arm reaching for the key... and easily grabbing i-
The key suddenly yanked upwards as he grabbed it firmly, pulling the confused black gem alongside it as he yelped; the water around him seemed to somehow become solid, wrapping around him tight. Not all the water had suddenly become harder though. His body was suddenly pulled out of the water, held tight by what appeared to be a tentacle of solid water, his eyes widening in shock; how-!
He glanced at the key; Somehow, he had failed to notice the rather large gem at center of it, a blue hue he didn't recognize as he gulped. He was fighting against his only way out; fantast-
His thoughts weren't allowed to be finished as he was suddenly thrown by the tentacle across the room, slamming against the wall on his face.
"Indeed you realize-" he started, his face still against the wall as his arms pushed against it to free him, "That this means war."
Chalk simply sat there for about 5 minutes, just waiting for something to happen. As he was considering searching again, an odd gurgling noise came from behind him. He immediately jumped forwards and spun around. He nearly puked at the disgusting creature in front of him. It seemed to be vaguely humanoid, and really, really, gross. It smelled like tar, burnt tires, throw up, and almost any terrible smell Chalk's mind could conjure.
He summoned one giant chakram and threw it as hard as he could at the monstrous figure. While the Chakram did hit, and slice through it, the monster had taken no obvious damage. ~Where's its gem?~ he thought. The horrific creature started slowly, slithering? It seemed to be slithering in Chalks direction. He panicked and started shooting as many energy bolts as he could at the horrendous creation. The creature completely engulfed Chalk, not necessarily eating, but more like merging the green gem into him. This caused Chalk to freak out even more. He started flailing about, in a failed attempt to free himself.
The Dark gem spun across the air as he went to slam against the wall, his legs taking most of the force of the throw, before pushing off the wall just as a mass of water slammed into it, the Black gem flipping across the air; he had tried everything! Explosions, Kicks, Explosive kicks! The mass of water would not be taken down, and he knew he couldn't afford to attack the key and accidentally destroy his only way out of there.
He yelped as the mass went for him once again, leaping up randomly and flying into- a valve? His hands gripped tight on the valve attached to the ceiling, his brow creased in exhasperation. Who the heck placed a valve on the ceiling?! Where gems supposed to lea- "Woah!" he yelped as the mass of water went to slam into him, throwing himself off to the side just as the water mass smacked into the Valve- Snapping it off.
Suddenly, the sound of water draining went off across the entire room, the pool of water lowering in its level as the consequences of snapping the valve happened. The black gem stared blankly at the broken valve, and then at the water.
"You done goofed, water."
Carbonado inserted the key into the lock, twisting it inside and hearing what to him sounded like a musical click as the chains snapped off the lock, letting it fall to the floor and the door slide open. Behind him, broken valves, some by water pressure others by kick induced blunt force trauma, laid on the empty pool of water.
"Well, that was actually not as hard as I thought it would be." he commented as he moved to the next room.
~Ok Chalk~ the tall gem thought to himself ~calm down, you just have to find where its gem is.~ He reached around blindly while still stuck in the slimy creature. His fingers touched something. He grabbed it and pulled as hard as he could and then- Poof! The monster vanished along with all the goop, and the gem. He took a deep breath in through his nose-which he deeply regretted right after. "Seriously? You couldn't take the smell with you?!"
The green gem stomped into the next room, adequately pissed from the last obstacle. The next chamber contained a pedestal, with a small scrap of paper sitting on top of it. Slowly, Chalk walked up to the pedestal and picked up the note. A riddle was scribbled on to it.
Left is Right Right is Wrong Right is Right Left is Left
It took only a few brief moments for Chalk to figure out this puzzle. "Ok, left, left, right, right, what do I apply this t- Oh." He stopped mid-sentence as he realized the tunnel pathway in front of him, with a holo-lable declaring it as a maze. "Ok" He entered the dark maze, with barely enough light to show him where to go. He reaches the first turn. "Left..." the next, "Left... Right... Right..." He reaches a door. "That was easy, anybody could've figured that ou-" He was forced to shut up as the floor beneath him ceased to exist, and he fell down a dark hole. ~Deja-vu much?~
Carbonado found himself looking at a frozen chamber. The Floor was Ice, the ceiling was Ice, the walls were Ice; everything except for the entrance and exit of the room seemed to be made of Ice. Nothing too bad, until he realized something; the level of traction the floor allowed was supernaturally low. He couldn't take so much as a step in any direction before his feet found itself sliding over the frozen surface with ease, not able to even slow down. The black gem pursed his lips, noting that for once, the exit of the room was not placed on the other end, but on a rather difficult area to reach when the floors allowed for literally no traction at all.
"God. Damn. It." He muttered under his breath, noting there seemed to be plenty of pilars, rocks and other obstacles, probably for him to use to stop. Some kind of puzzle, and he had no all seeing view to get a good grasp of how the area looked.
"This is gonna take some time..." he whined as he pushed off the wall, moving towards one of the rocks.
Chalk braced himself for the impact, but it never came. He slowly opened his eyes, only to find that he was floating in a dark room, barely lit by a small candle floating in midair. He looked around, the exit was literally just sitting there. He stared at it for a moment with distrust. ~It can't be that simple, can it?~ The green gem cautiously floated towards the door. It vanished. ~of course it can't be that simple!~ He floated back to the candle and grabbed it. ~How Am I floating anyways? How am I controlling where I float?~ These thoughts triggered his curiosity, he searched around the room to see if it was some sort of device causing him to float. As he suspected, he was in an anti-gravity chamber.
The only thing left was, how was he controlling where he floated? He scanned the area once more. He went to scratch his neck, only to find a weird circular device attached to it. ~That's probably what's allowing me to move exactly how I want to.~ Now that he knew how he was doing this, he needed to find out how to leave, the door reappeared on the other side of the room. He floated up to it, and it disappeared again. It reappeared on the other side. He thought about it for a moment. If he couldn't get close, could something not alive get close? He tested this theory by pushing the candle towards the door, and it didn't disappear. What he wasn't planning on was the door catching on fire.
Chalk was about go over to put the fire out when there was a flash of light. The door disappeared, but it left an empty archway and a corridor where it used to be. "Oh, that was easy." Though, something told him the next few challenges would not.
Carbonado slid to a half as he reached the exit of the Ice Puzzle, his face set in stone as stomped walked his way towards the exit, kicking the door open and sending the gates off their hinges. It had already been open, so no real force was required.
It felt good, though.
Glaring down, he noted he was now tasked with going down a flight of stairs in order to get to the next challenge, whatever it might be. Scrunching his nose in distaste, the black gem leaped down the flight of stairs landing with a mighty thud at the end of the stairs, the plant of his feet slamming hard onto the tiles.
"This damn place has tested my patience way too much." he thought as he once again kicked the door to the next challenge open; His eyes narrowed at what stood before him.
The green gem walked into a brightly lit room, that was rather hot. The exit was simply on the other side of a lake of lava. "The ceiling isn't very high, so I can't go very fast, but nonetheless this should be eas-" He stopped mid-sentence as a huge lava worm jumped up into the air from the lava and dived back in. "Nevermind."
He summoned an energy hover board and started zooming to the other side. About half way there the worm jumped out and tried to bite him. He managed to swerve away without most of him getting hurt. He reached the other side. But something felt missing. He looked over to his left. "WHAT THE HELL?!" His arm.
The black gem took a massive leap above the Ice, tired of playing around in the damn slippery piece of [insert extremely rude word here.] Unfortunately, in his haste and anger, he seriously miscalculated the strength he needed, his body slamming into the Ice cold ceiling... and sticking to it.
Not only sticking to it, but sliding across it, too.
"GEM DAMN IT ALL!" He roared in frustration as he thrashed against the Ice ceiling, his legs kicking hard under him; much too hard, in fact. Cracks started appearing all over the ceiling as he continued slamming his feet into it with anger, until suddenly:
It broke off the ceiling. Carbonado's face blanched.
"S-Shi-!" He slammed into the icy floor hard, the piece of solid ice ceiling subsequently slamming on top of him and breaking into smaller shards of Ice. The black gem simply groaned.
"This place... I hate it, its creator, and if he, or she, or it has one, the mother of its creator."
The green gem was still freaking out about the loss of his arm. How was he going to do the next challenge, whatever it was, with only one arm?! He stepped cautiously into the next chamber. Doors. Doors. Doors on the ceiling, doors on the floor. Everywhere covered with, doors. "You've got to be kidding me?" He already knew what was going to happen.
He opened one door and stepped through it. Only to end up in the same room, just coming out of a different door. "ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?!" He was so angry that he could just punch open every one of these doors. "I have had enough of this GOD. DAMN. TEMPLE!" He punched one of the doors open, stepped through...

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.

Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
