After having dragged himself to the exit of the chamber, Carbonado had reasonably chilled out; so far, his anger had only managed to make everything somehow even worse, so the Black gem had decided to try and not let his exasperation make the bad experience even worse than it already was. Still, there was a rather tired slouch in his step as he made his way towards the next challenge; the back of his body projection hurt pretty bad, and he was feeling the burn, so to speak; all the wandering around was taking its toll, and the place had long since lost its charm.
Carbonado didn't want to be there anymore, simple as that. But he had nowhere to go back to, he could only go forward, and hope he wouldn't die.
He stepped into yet another chamber, this one filled with Giant Axe pendulums and slamming hammers in a single, straight path towards the exit: There appeared to be no true pattern; every so often, the hammers would just erratically slam down, the pendulums would suddenly speed up, and the 'straight' path would suddenly segment and sent parts of it to the side rather quickly. If Carbonado wasn't thrown off by this, then he would probably be killed by the spikes that were attached to the walls.
Step through a door. Same room. Step through another door. Same room. Step through another door. "Same. God Damn. ROOM!" The green gem was understandably frustrated, at this room. He tried leaving the doors open as a way to tell him that he's gone through that door. But, to no avail. The doors shut themselves. He tried using a sharpie and marking an X on each door he's gone through. But it vanished each time.
I'm gonna go insane in here.
He thought, as he went through yet another door. And once again, he came out in the sa- oh, nevermind!
"THANK GOODNESS!" The tall gem screamed as he finally came out at a corridor, which would presumably take him to the next challenge.
The form of Black gem literally dragged itself out of the chamber of pendulums, spikes and everything bad. After the rather stressing events that had occurred while inside the room, Carbonado decided to lay down for a second, not wanting to move even a centimeter for a while; this was his rest. He would need it; his performance in the past room had told him everything he needed to know about his current state. Rest was much needed for him if he wanted to continue further inside without getting poofed.
He rested there for a good couple of minutes before finally moving, the projection that was his body protesting rather loudly by sending waves of pain across him, making him grit his teeth. He couldn't just stop there, though. He needed to keep going forward. He was tired of this place, and any extra second he spent inside it was a bit of his mind being lost. Not a second beyond necessary, that was for sure.
Rolling onto his chest, he pushed of the ground before standing up shakily, taking a deep breath he didn't truly need, before staring forward. He sighed.
The next rooms trap seemed pretty simple. There were two rows of platforms, each row containing 4 platforms. A painting across the room depicted squares of different colors in a certain sequence, each colored square corresponding to a colored platform. He just had to jump from platform to platform, in the correct sequence, easy enough, right?
He jumped on to the first platform, only to have it start crumbling beneath him, he hopped to the next, and the same event pursued. ~Did I get the wrong order?~ he thought as he continued jumping. No, he knew he got it right, but maybe there was something more to the challenge? He made it to the exit, only to find that it too was a painting. The ground under him started crumbling, and he fell into the spiky abyss, he braced himself for the pain, only to feel... wet? The spikes were no longer there and he was now shooting down a tube filled with water, most likely down into the next obstacle.
No chamber yet. The black gem crouched under a branching rock spike as he tried to move around the motionless obstacles; he was trying to cross through a rather tight passage, the walls very close together and their surface rather uneven. As he took a careful step over yet another branching spike, he finally made it through the tight road.
"Am I even getting closer to the end?" he wondered out loud, for the first time questioning his progress. He hadn't been sure of how close he was to the exit before, but now he wondered if he was even getting closer to it. For all he knew, he was just digging himself deeper and deeper into the temple; it certainly felt like he was going down instead of up, and he knew for a fact that the Sea Spire probably reached all the way to the Ocean floor; he didn't know if he could kick his way out of there with all the pressure of the Ocean on top of him. But there was no way of going back, was there? He could only go forward.
"There it is; another chamber." he muttered blankly as he saw yet another gate. "This puzzle or challenge or whatever the hell it is won't solve itself, eh?" he commented to himself with a sigh, scratching the back of his head as he moved towards the gate, pressing his palms to the gates and pushing them open.
He reached the next chamber, another puzzle, much harder then the last. It seemed easy enough at first glance. A code lock on a door, and the code was literally displayed on a screen right next to it... Except the code is change 100 times a second. He spent about 10 minutes trying to solve it manually, without using his future vision, but to no avail. He easily predicted the password and was already at the next chamber with in a minute.
The next chamber... He actually wasn't quite sure what it was. Several lights of different colors darted around the room, bouncing from wall to wall. The exit held 5 gemstones (not actual gem/people) which the green gem presumed that he had to get the lights in to.
"Oh, please no." he muttered with disbelief in his voice, glancing at the massive table of Chess in front of him; He wasn't even good at chess! He barely knew how to even play, he hadn't ever played the game before! It was a human thing! He had only seen it in human movies, and if barely anything on those could be believed, he doubted their rules on chess were any better.
He bit his lip as he glanced around the chamber; there hadn't been anything other than a single challenge in previous rooms, but surely whoever placed this here, in gem Building, didn't expect everyone who came across this room to know chess, right?
He was right, they didn't. Which was why there was a massive board attached to a column, instructions of every basic rule on chess carved into it. How the pieces advanced and attacked, how one won the game, basic tricks of the game; Carbonado's jaw tightened. They actually expected him to defeat... something. He couldn't see anyone else on the chamber. Who was he supposed to defeat? Something at the end of the board caught his eye.
"In order to start a play... say the piece's Letter and number location?" Glancing down, he noted that the at the end of the chess table, there were different letters and numbers, from A to H, and from 1 to 8. Cocking an eyebrow, he looked around the 'battlefield'. He had been assigned the white pieces, or at least it appeared so, since those were on his side when he arrived. White pieces went first, right?
'Why do they get to go first.' he wondered slightly annoyed, before biting his lip. "Umm... Hey you! E-4!" Almost as if by magic, the pawn on the E-2 line moved forward two squares until it reached E-4. Carbonado's eyebrows rose in surprise.
The 5 lights continues to quickly bounce about the room, making capture seem nearly impossible. He tried grabbing a light orb, and as he thought. He couldn't. He was about to try again when a brilliant idea popped into his mind. He angled himself in the corner of the room, waiting for an orb of light to fly in his direction, after a minute or so, a purple light started flying right at him.
He instantly summoned an energy shield and angled it towards the exit, the light bounced off and rammed into the exit, and one of the gemstones lit up. ~Perfect~ He thought as his strategy worked. It only took him a few more minutes to get the rest to hit the exit. After the last light hit the door, all the gems glowed with a brilliant light and the door opened up.
The black gem tapped his chin thoughtfully, a single drop of sweat he hadn't even realized he could generate sliding down his forehead as he bit his lip. Before him, multiple pieces of chess still remained on the field... most of them black, unfortunately.
Luckily, his short read over the rules had convinced him of one thing: Queen was the most important fighting piece; the second was the pawn. His opponent hadn't lost nearly as many pieces as he had, but it could be said that the Black gem had managed to kill nearly every pawn on the other side and secure a rook and bishop.
"Pawn, B-5!" he roared out, smirking as his pawn slowly moved towards a Knight from the blacks... before suddenly swipping out a rock blade and plunging it into the other piece, piercing through it and sending its remaining pieces scattering across the floor.
"How's that?!" He shouted to his silent, probably mechanical enemy.
He walks into the next room, after quickly surveying the area, he came to the conclusion that this room was some sort of shooting range. ~Brilliant! This is MY type of challenge!" He walks into the field. His facial expression suddenly changed from one of excitement, to one of sheer terror as he realized; In this shooting range, he was the target.
Almost as if on que, a assault of bullets come shooting from the other side of the field, the exit was behind the shooters. He swiftly created an energy barrier an ducked behind it. he slowly moved it forwards until- it shattered. A bullet skinned his left cheek as he leaped into the air, releasing his own bullet hell upon his assailants. He barely manages to twist his body to dodge a bullet flying at his forehead. He dives down behind the gunners and sprints into the next room.
The green gem was getting tired of these rooms. "Does this place ever end?!" He screamed as he entered the next room. Dolls. Thousands of dolls just lined up on shelves. He already knew what the puzzle was. Which one is the odd one out? Judging by the enormous plethora of dolls he knew that this would take awhile. Doll after doll, after doll. Each one, perfectly curled brown hair, shiny blue eyes, a pail complexion, rosy cheeks, and a cute blue bow. He carefully scanned each doll, this challenge seeming endless, he could imagine him studying and staring at stupid dolls for the rest of his li- He paused his thoughts as he came across a doll with one freckle. He picks it up, and a trap door appears on the floor. Down to the next floor.
"A-HA!" Roared out Carbonado, stomping his feet while pointing at the falling black queen, a crapeating grin on his face as he mocked his mechanical opponent. "AAAAANHAAAA!" he mocked, the grin never leaving his face as he broke into a not all that elegant dance. "Told ya I had your number, you clod!" he roared out, doing a couple of hip thrusts for no reason, before crossing his arms with a smirk. "Your move, genius!"
A Black Knight slowly slid towards his White queen; Carbonado's grin dropped like a stone as his queen had a stone lance rammed on her torso, destroying most of it and sending chunks of rock flying. A peeble hit Carbonado in the face, not really doing anything but irritating him.
~that was a long drop~ Chalk thought as he got up from the ground. it was a small room, and a hologram, of a relatively small gem with a gem on it's neck was sitting cross legged in front of a table. A sign on the table said, "Egyptian War" This caused the green to beam. He loved card games, especially human ones. He gladly sat down in front of the table and started to play with the hologram.
Eight four Queen ~Damnit~ Five Quee- *SLAP*
Chalk quickly slapped his hand down, claiming the pile of cards. He loved this game.
nine seven two eight six King Jack three
The green gem gleefully scooped up all the cards and put them at the bottom of his pile of cards. This was going to be fun.
The grin on Carbonado's face could have split it if it had gotten any bigger; not that it didn't try mind you, the sight of the Black King piece falling to the floor feeling too good to be true. Finally! His first game had gone pretty bad, but by his second one, it seemed he had gotten a pretty good grasp of it. Ping. The black gem glanced back at the score board to look at the score, frowning as he remembered.
Black 1 / White 1
Right. He needed to win another hand if he wanted to leave; for a moment there, he had thought he was free from the chamber. Groaning in exasperation, he turned towards the table, crossing his arms.
"Right. Let's go again, then." The pieces around the room immediately reformed from their rubble and moved to their correct place, the battle field becoming clean and tidy in less than a few seconds.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. *Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
