The Comm Hub... broken and unable to reach Homeworld, but how about it sending out a message just across Earth? There was too much going on that not every Gem knew about... Variscite knew this, also knew there was alot going on that he didn't know about... he has YET to run into a Gem from Homeworld that was here to hurt humans or other Gems. Which after knowing what little he did about the Gem Homeworld made him think... "No way something isn't being planned right now... or something bigger is going on..."
Upon entering the Hub, the tan skinned Gem sighed pulling his hood tight around his head. This was an odd place for him to be, mostly since he has next to zero knowledge of how gem tech worked. Leaving the pad and wondering around looking for anything that he could make sense of. His goal for coming this far out was indeed to send out some kind of message... Rose was only able to do so much for us with what she did. Now it was up to those who call them self's Crystal Gems to gather together, "Something is happening... please let there be a Gem who knows more then I do..."
He mumbled to himself still in thought, finding a small booth with wires jetting out from panels along the wall with a screen covered in dust, among other junk aswell. "Hmmm...." the slender Gem enters the booth trying to stuff the wires back into the walling and hopefully doing something other then just looking like he was cleaning up.
The warp pad that lead to the planet Earth roared to life as a beam shot up from it. Once cleared, a small off-white colored gem stood in it, looking rather confused. She stepped gently from the pad, and onto the hub proper, as she began looking at the broken warps. "What has happened here...?" Nephrite asked herself as she walked around this now abandoned place, trailing her fingers along the dead warp pads. "This place used to be so beautiful...." She sighed and continued walking around the place, that is until she spotted a gem, doing what appeared to be cleaning? Her eyes widened a bit, and with a slight flutter of her dress, she hid behind a warp panel. "What could this gem possibly be doing. Cleaning? Repairs? I wonder for whom he works." She thought to herself. She ventured a peek out from her hiding place, to keep an eye on this unfamiliar gem.
So this was the communication hub on the planet called Earth. It had clearly seen better days. Kornerupine wandered around the outskirts of the communication hub. The gem was in her female form. She held up a small handheld device, moving it around a bit. Then it got a hit. It detected two nearby gem signatures, but it was quick to inform her neither were the gem she was looking for.
"Gems, but not the one it wants. He still eludes it..."She said to herself out loud before tucking the device away. Perhaps the two gems there could provide answers. She began to make her way closer to the hub, each of her steps smooth and graceful. She caught sight of a gem that appeared to be tampering with the hub. Perhaps he was trying to fix it? The hub was already in terrible shape, so it was doubtful, he was making the hub worse.
"Pardon me, are you attempting to repair the hub or just tidying up?" Cornerstone asked, maintaining a reasonable distance from the unknown gem.
"Ugh! So much junk here... just got to try and get something to turn on... place was made to send out messages right?" The slender gem spoke out loud to himself as he finshes trying to stuff enough wires back into the panel, then placing it back over the hole covering it. Not having a clue if what he was doing was going to help him at all, "Ugh... Hemim would know what to do here..." He said as he kicked the wall making a loud bang.
"Pardon me, are you attempting to repair the hub or just tidying up?" Quickly turning to see a Gem he had not seen before standing not too far from him but was keeping its distance, "Oh! Um... before I say anything stupid here... your not from Homeworld are you? Or if you are your not trying to cause trouble right?" He wanted to tell this Gem what he was doing but NOT if he was going to try and stop him. To what Varis knew it was only him and this other Gem he was speaking with, he had not known of yet another Gem walking around the hub.
"Not from Homeworld? Why would that matter...?" Nephrite asked herself. She shook her head, and kept watching a bit longer. She still didn't know who these gems were, or why the one who was cleaning or whatever asked if the other one was from Homeworld. "Aren't we all from Homeworld, in a way? Or maybe he believes gems born on Homeworld are rude. Ugh, I don't get it." She groaned to herself. She gasped softly as she realized something. "If he's not cleaning, but fixing, then we can use this again. And maybe he can fix my ship, too."
She nodded to herself and stood up, slowly approaching the pair of conversing gems. "Excuse me." She greeted meekly, standing a decent ways away, incase they were hostile. "My name is Nephrite, servant of White Diamond. I'm a bit new to this place, and my ship has broken down. I don't suppose you happen to know how to repair a shale-class vessel?"
Kornerupine put a finger up to her cheek and began to tap it thoughtfully as she briefly pondered how to answer this gem's question. He appeared to have a distaste for Homeworld gems.
"Trouble is not what it seeks, rather a gem."Kornerupine replied. Just after her reply, the other gem showed herself. Kornerupine turned to look at the newcomer. This gem was a servant of White Diamond, excellent. Kornerupine smiled a bit at the new gem. "It knows a little about shale-class vessels. A mechanic is not what it is, though. Maybe it can assist anyway. Pleasurousness at the meeting, Nephrite. It refers it itself often as Kornerupine." Kornerupine replied to the newcomer, gesturing to herself when she introduced herself to Nephrite.
He waits almost on edge, if this was going to turn into a fight he was more then ready to give the Gem a fight worth having, "Not... what it seeks... rather a gem?" He mimiced what he said before responding, "So your looking for another gem huh? I can say iv been doing the same..." He mumbled thinking about Hemin for a moment before snapping back as another gem spoke to them.
"My name is Nephrite, servant of White Diamond." is pretty much all that Varis had heard from this gem, "White Diamond? As in one of the rulers of Homeworld huh... well not gonna hide this anymore..." He sighs as he removes his hoodie and dropping it onto the round next to him, reveling the purple tank top under his hoodie with a crystal gems star on his back, as he rubbed the back of his neck running his fingers over his gem. "One... I totally can not repair anything! Im just trying to send out a message to my friends. Two I happen to be a member of the Crystal Gems, with the name Variscite."
He was speaking with a tough sounding tone, he had two Homeworld Gems near him, no idea where this could go. "So! Im just gonna get this out of the way... we defend this planet. If either of you are plotting to do anything that will harm the life on this planet... just dont." He said again in a strong tone.
"Nice to meet you, Korupenite. I'd love for you to at least take a look... if I can find where I crashed again." Nephrite scratches the back of her head. She then looked over to the much more hostile gem. "Variscite, huh? Yes, I serve White Diamond of Homeworld. I have no idea what a 'Crystal Gem' is, but if you mean to save this planet, why? You're a gem, you come from Homeworld, at least indirectly. You're one of us. Regardless, you can relax. I just want my ship repaired so I can go back to my mission. However, if it's a fight you're after, it's a fight you'll get." Her voice got much more serious on that last sentence, as she readied herself to draw her weapon. She'd never heard of these 'Crystal Gems', but from what she'd seen of this one, she didn't think she'd care for them, since they seemed to have something against Homeworld.

(First forum post, here goes...)
Apache Tear crumbles to the ground as soon as she feels the smooth surface of the warp beneath her sandals, grimacing as her vision fizzled once. Looks like she hadn't escaped from nicking her gem after all- the latest escape from Earth's Kindergarten was a rough, frightening one. She takes in a wild skim of the area. Earth's Communication Hub was just like its Galaxy Warp. All in ruins. There seems to be nobody around again. There were never any actual gems around, let alone any of the rebels. This is it. She is going to fail her mission and be left to dissipate on the planet.
That was when she picked up a mention of her objective. She looks up, squinting. There are three figures having a conversation. "...I happen to be a member of the Crystal Gems, with the name Variscite." Apache stiffens, a strong sense of relief fighting off the whelming despair. She actually found them! She staggers up, ignoring another vision fizzle, and runs behind the nearest patch of rubble to overhear the three gems. "I'm going... to succeed?"
Kornerupine folded her arms over her chest and tilted her head in mild irritation at Variscite's sudden hostility. Hadn't she just told him that she wasn't looking for trouble? Of course, she doubted he could truly do anything to stop her from doing what she pleases. Kornerupine suddenly burst out with loud laughter.
"Look at this gem, with the toughness acting."She said, laughing, referring to Variscite. "Go defend grass and trees. What will you do when the inevitability of entropy and destruction bring themselves upon this orb? Will you halt with your hand a deadly meteor? When that star upon which this world clings begins to die, 'No! Stop!' will you shout at it? Defend all you want, nothing will it mean in the end."
Kornerupine turned to Nephrite and frowned. This gem seemed all too eager to waste her time. "Time wasting is what you will be doing."
The tan skinned Gem sighed... why was it others never took him seriously? He turned and looked at Nephrite, she seemed like she really did just want to go home... even though she questions him about why he protects this place. "Ok... so I feel like I should be saying sorry to you... Nephrite? Yeah? If your just trying to repair your ship to leave, I would be happy to help you with what I can... I dont understand our own tech too much though. I was born here over like... a thousand years ago, its more home for me then the world iv never been to." He seemed like he really was sorry for acting so hostile... well to the gem that served under this "White Diamond".
Looking back at Kornerupine, unable to not smile as she spoke, "Yeah... so... your wrong... about all of what you just said. One... if you think im alone? Your soooo wrong! Meta, Obsidian, Carbonado.... Hemin..." He seemed to slow his roll as he spoke the last name before chipping up again, "If a meteor comes down here... ill smash it to bits! When our sun goes off with a bang... we will cross that bridge when we get to it... but what will YOU do when you realize im stronger then you? That I just look as stupid as I do?" He takes a few steps closer to Kornerupine (You really had to pick like... the hardest name huh?) holding a grin across his face as his Gem began to glow, a calming aura would begin to flow out from his gem into the gems around him, easy to ignore but this calming feeling would indeed push at the minds of anyone near him.
"Now we have a few options here, Nephrite needs some help with her ship. You should go help her with it... im really not going to be much help with it... well maybe helping you find it I can do. Another thing to do... we can fight it out... right here and right now, yeah you might be able to beat me... but I know that... in the back of your mind you have a fear of me beating you back into the ground... so pick what you want to do Korny." He said as he crossed his arms over his body, the tough tone was totally gone from his voice, he didnt want to act tough knowing he really wasnt all that tough to begin with... that was more of Obsidian's thing... or Meta.
"Time wasting, huh? I didn't think it would be time wasting to respond to a hostile threat." Nephrite responded to Korupenite. She started to draw her hand away from her gem, until she heard Variscite still looking to fight. "Listen, Variscite, I think you're the only one here looking to start trouble, so if that's what you're doing, then fine, fight. But know that I will defeat you. Now then, if I'm wrong, and you aren't looking for trouble, then perhaps we can talk a bit. Tell me, what are these Crystal Gems exactly? What would cause someone to betray Homeworld and turn rogue over a few plants and animals?" She wasn't sure of course what a Crystal Gem was, but she was able to guess decently based off of Korupenite's words about them.

Apache listened to the conversation from behind her pile of rubble. There were two other gems. Homeworld gems. Luckily, none of them seemed to be serving under Blue Diamond. The more hostile gem, Kornerupine, seemed rather ruthless and harsh- there was a fringe of corruption around him that she was reluctantly tempted by, so maybe that was the problem. The gentler one, Nephrite, was lost and there were indications that she would slip into desperation soon. Crystal Gem, Variscite, was merely trying to sound tough by defending his position but it was doing more harm than good. "What would cause someone to betray Homeworld and turn rogue over a few plants and animals?" It was obvious that a conversation like this would sooner or later escalate into a fight.
The dark gem had a few choices. She could run right now- they wouldn't be bothered with chasing her down. She could wait until she was found, then explain her own situation. Or she could step out right this instance. Apache was struck with another vision fizzle, this time accompanied by slight nausea. A small nick could result in a deeper crack. She needed gem assistance. And she would have to face those three sooner or later. She lightly tapped the rubble around her to gain control when needed, then crept out of her hiding spot. Hopefully she wasn't losing any body parts from the gem nick. "P-please don't fight... I... have worked on ships before, so I can try and help."

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.

Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show

*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
