Fuscite nodded slowly and listened as the two small red gems spoke, and looked over at Variscite when he deflected a question right at him. Concerning his history. He sighed heavily. His history was an equally heavy topic for Fuscite. But, the red end had given their history,so it would probably be rude if he didn't do the same. His gaze shot back to Variscite from the air when he heard him say that he was 'too old'. "I...am not...too old. Jeez." Placing his hands on his hips, Fuscite turned to an open space and a large holographic screen popped up. "Sit down kids, it's story time." Homeworld appeared on the screen, but it was the Homeworld of eons past. And the Diamonds were on screen as well. Including the lady on the fountain. They were addressing a crowd, but their words were silent. "My story...starts on...Homeworld." He began.
As Pye listened her eyes widened, practically turning to saucers, and she emitted a sound that could only be described as a "EEEEEEEEEEEE!" Without pausing for a breath (not that she needed one) she continued, "You want to fuse with someone! Oh where to start! There's so much to go over... Like what fusion is, how to find the right partner, how to actually fuse..." She snapped to attention, realizing this might not be the best place to really explain fusion. It was a complicated process, and it would take a while to properly explain it all. Instead, an idea popped into her head. She calmed herself down, "Ok, if you want to really understand fusion it'll take a while to actually explain it all. So instead, I'm going to make you a promise. Let's make plans to meet up somewhere in the future, doesn't really matter where, and I'll give you all the details you need on fusion for this gem you've got your eye on, alright?" As much as she would love to be the one to play cupid for Varis, now really wasn't the time. Perhaps once she could find some time alone she could teach him better than she could around others, fusion was sort of a private thing.
Afterwards Pye listened quietly to what little of Varis' story he shared. She had a feeling there was more, but it was always the shy ones who said the least. Though his opinion on humans was an odd one. She had never disliked them as Pyre does, but they never really a threat. Although neither of them had ever experienced any major human wars, as hiding from humans was a lot easier than hiding from gems. A lot of their sites had still remained a mystery to the human race, making rather effective hideouts. Though it did strike her that he was a relatively young gem, being only a thousand years old. Not that it was all that surprising, a lot of gems made here on Earth were young compared to Homeworld gems. Her thoughts, however, were interupted by Varis 'two are like.... just too cute t-together ya know that?' her cheeks turned a dark shade of red, and her face went to a more neutral expression for a few seconds. Eventually she collected herself, still blushing and laughing slightly, "Oh... uhm.. heheh, thanks. I'm sure you and whatever gem you have your sights on would make just as... 'cute' a couple as we are." She looked over at Pyre for a few moments, a smile spread on her face.
Meanwhile, Pyre waited for Fuscite's story, noticing Pye was blushing and giggling for some reason. He tried his best to act as if he hadn't noticed, but he couldn't help but keep stealing glances at her and Varis talking with one another. His attention snapped back as Pye motioned for Varis to follow and walked over to the rest of them. He looked over to Fuscite, who looked like he was getting ready to tell some sort of long speech, remembering he had asked him about his past. He kept his eyes on the hologram, realizing he was looking on the diamonds for the first time in years. Without realizing it, he was standing at attention, stopping just short of saluting the image of Homeworld's leaders. Pye stood next to Pyre, paying attention to Fuscite's hologram display as well, though unlike Pyre she kept her relaxed attitude.
The sudden loud, "EEEEEEEEEEEE!" threw Varis for a slight loop as he almost jump from his gem, as soon as the smol red gem started speaking, Variscite couldn't hide the green flush that now covered his whole face. Hands clenched within his hoodie pockets as he tried not to smile, "I-I mean.... I d-dont know if she like me.... l-like that! Just... been friends for a lo-long time ya know? I mean.... shes hot..." His blush grew deeper for a moment, "I m-mean like HOT hot! Like.... w-when she puts her arm ar-around me it burns..." He said as he pulled his hands from his pockets to twiddle his thumbs out of nervous habit at this point.
When Pye said they should meet at another time and she could try and help him get over his whole fear of fusion and to tell him more about how it works, it was a good deal to him no matter how he spun it. Though part of him was scared Amber might not have wanted him talking about them fusing... only one way to really find out. "Yeah.... that could b-be uh.... fun." He said trying to calm the blush from his face away while stuffing his hands back into his pockets again, "Oh... uhm.. heheh, thanks. I'm sure you and whatever gem you have your sights on would make just as... 'cute' a couple as we are." His face flushed green just a bit more. He wasn't sure how to take this.... he would be lieing to himself if he said he didn't have some feeling for Amber.
Then it seemed Fuscite was about to share some of his history.... there was no way Varis was gonna pass this up. He walked over next to the two smaller gems, sitting down with his legs crossed under his body he tilted his head while looking at the leaders of Homeworld, "Uh... who are they?" He asks as he half assed pointed towards the picture before them.

The armored gem paused as one of the red gems let out a loud shriek, and looked towards where Variscite was. The two were talking about fusion, and Variscite had a crush. He laughed softly. Returning to the hologram, Fuscite looked at Variscite. "These...are...the Diamonds. Our leaders." The frame switched to a large runway of sorts, upon which were an uncountable number of other Fuscites, and a nearly equivalent amount of vehicles. "I was...a Fuscite...of the...Homeworld Outreach Initiative. We were...to find...suitable planets...for Homeworld." He stopped speaking for several seconds as the ships began taking off, the view from Fuscite's eyes as he looked around from his position as the nose gunner. So many of the green ships were visible. The frame cut to a trio of the ships in space as the large horde of green metal began separating. "My crew...teamed up...with two...other crews. And together...we set...off to...explore the...universe...for Homeworld." Shutting off the hologram, Fuscite exhaled. "And we...died...for Homeworld, out among...the stars."
Pye couldn't help but laugh uncontrollably as Variscite stumbled through his explanation. It was clear, he was head over heals crushing! It was cute, or at least she thought so. It was nice to see someone else in love, even if it was just the early stages. She was pretty sure humans called it the 'honeymoon phase'. Helping them out would be so much fun! She noted Variscite had no clue about the diamonds, which probably wasn't that uncommon for an Earth gem. The rebels weren't exactly trying to teach gems about Homeworld culture. Of course Pyre wasn't too pleased with the fact, Varis had been deprived of a very important part of their history. He probably doesn't even know what he's missing out on, perhaps one day he would sit down with him and set him straight.
His attention was completely captured by the hologram, just seeing an image of the diamonds was breath taking. He still held a lot of respect for them, and murals didn't exactly do them justice. Or at least what few pieces of art existed. His face turned rather grim, however, when Fuscite moved onto the topic of his journey. He found himself in two minds, on one hand he and his fellow gems died doing their intended job. But on the other... to die alone in space and so far from home... It was oddly Pyre who spoke up first, "I'm sorry." He looked up to see Pye a little surprised, "You and your crew died admirably, doing your intended purpose, and that is good. It's what we're meant for. But I am sorry for it to happen in such a way, so far from home. I wouldn't envy any gem who had to do such." He kept eye contact with Fuscite, refusing to show how awkward he felt. After trying to shatter him, it felt a little odd trying to comfort him. After a moment Pye spoke, "So how did you find your way to Earth?" She hoped to pull the subject away from the morbid topic, but she was still curious about the gem's story.
Varis had heard others talk about the Diamonds and he knew they were a big part of Homeworld but didn't know what they looked like, or really what they did for that matter. He kept quiet and watched the video play, seeing Homeworld for the first time... it was oddly nice. He figured it would be ruined and broken for some reason, he was also finally getting some insight into Fuscites past. So weird seeing so many of the same gem! It made him wonder... could there really be other Variscites out there just him?
He had drifted a moment as the idea crossed his mind, looking distant before snapping back to whats before him. "And we...died...for Homeworld, out among...the stars." Wait what? "W-" He was going to say something but Pyre spoke up... he seem to be meaning well towards Fuscite. He was gonna ask why would they go out knowing they were gonna die like this? He decided to try and think about that for awhile while the other three were talking more of Homeworld.

The old explorer chuckled softly. "Envy? That's why...we were...made..." He looked at the two. "Little ones." He sighed. "Death...is not...honorable. It is...quite frightening. Especially for..." He paused for a second. "My fellow Fuscites. The universe...is a...scary place. Out there...we are...not at...the top...of the...food chain." Fuscite knelt down to the red gems. "Do not...be sorry. We were...made to...die. Pity won't...help anything. As for...how I...got here...My ship...practically exploded...on the...way down. I crashed...into a...cliff." He made a gesture with his hands. "Boom." Standing up again, Fuscite adjusted the suit a bit. Once he wa satisfied with it, Fuscite walked over to the statue in the fountain. He pointed at it. "She...was there. When we...left."
Pyre kept eye contact with Fuscite as he continued his story, his brief moment of empathy fading back to his original self. His face went grim again and he simply nodded, "Of course. You died for the glory of our diamonds, and that is all that should be done. Well done to you and your fellow gems. You did an adequate job, especially when faced against such odds as you were." Pye watched the two of them, a slight frown on her face but she decided not to speak up. Both of their eyes were drawn to where Fuscite was pointing, the statue of the one and only rebel leader. Pyre couldn't help but clench his fist, disgusted she held such a prestigious monument on what should be a Homeworld planet. And the fact they had help from such a fountain.
He turned to Varis and Fuscite, perhaps the human-looking gem knew her once, "What was she like? Did you meet her? Surely she isn't all the rebels say she is, she must have some flaws. Some weakness or... secret... or... something!" For whatever unclear reason, Pyre was oddly keen on information about the gem. Whatever the reason, he swapped intense eye contact between the two of them. He seemed to be on alert again, as if expecting deception or something of the sort. Perhaps not from Fuscite, a respectable Homeworld gem, but Varis...
Pye spoke up, "I'm sure she had flaws like any other gem, right Fuscite? Anyways, I'm glad you survived Fuscite, even if many others didn't. If anything, that makes you special. Perhaps it wasn't luck, maybe you have some trait that set you apart. Just... keep that in mind." She flashed him a kind smile, trying hard to get a point across that perhaps some gems would rather she didn't. Luckily it seemed to go over Pyre's head, who seemed more interested in his own question than what she was mentioning.
"...My ship...practically exploded...on the...way down. I crashed...into a...cliff." This brought back some memories for the tan skinned gem. He couldn't help but picture that day.... his first day in Beach City in fact, he was spending time on the Beach when Fuscites ship had come crashing down.... almost smashing him in the process. "I remember that, I was there for the cr-crash. Turned into uh..... quiet a day..." He couldn't help but smile at the memory of that day, standing off with the Holo-Gem's and defending that "Human" from just about everything.
He let the Homeworld Gems speak... he felt rather out of place in this conversation. He was of Earth and had never even left the planet, all three other gems had interesting jobs or.... terrifying in Fuscite case. Then they were talking about Rose.... yet another gem he had never met short of hearing her broadcast all that time ago. Variscite glanced over the three gems around him, he honestly had no idea what to do or say... he was so out of the loop when it came to talking about anything from Homeworld. "Heh.... I d-dont even know what I was suppose to do on H-Homeworld..." He mumbled softly, maybe not even able to be heard by the other gems. He just pictured that combat armor he was formed in... he had been guessing he must have been some kind of solider type gem but still had no real idea.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.

Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
