Pink listened to the conversation, however this Fire Opal's voice was too inaudible for her to listen to. As she tried to listen in to Sapphire's part, Pink seemed to chuckle awkwardly from within.
Poor Sapphire, pride tarnished for... Asking for help?
She didn't understand why it would be, but then again, she didn't have the information regarding the Fire Opal's response.
She was getting tired of listening anyway, none of this information was providing results to her freedom from this... "Lag."
She wanted to at least be able to speak or, move, interact with the world, so she stopped listening to the call, and looked for something else. She had a radius of 50 feet, and while she couldn't do anything, she could... Look around?
She started to feel upset, worse then before. How was she ever going to escape just "Looking around"?
This was so embarrassing, and she was scared, and just so many negative emotions grabbed at her.
She wanted to hide, go back to the colony, anything but here!
Her eyes flickered away from the out-cold Pink Sapphire as the blue-court gem made his call. Then, her gaze widened as she heard the phrase youngFire Opal. Not long ago, a gem of that cut had been her impromptu escort through the dazzling Empire City after a near-miss with a crook, as he'd called that type of human. Padparadscha wondered if this was the very same fire opal that she'd met, though she couldn't tell for sure. After all, the Protector of Empire City had been a stand-up gem in every way despite his circumstances, she couldn't imagine why he and this prestigious Sapphire wouldn't be allies. The aforementioned blue and pink court gems both appeared eager to serve the best they could. They were all united under Homeworld's banner, where they not?
When Sapphire revealed that this fire opal had agreed, Padpara let herself feel the least bit relieved. Though, the other aristocrat's irritation put her on edge. What exactly was it that he didn't like about this other gem? If it were indeed the one that she'd been acquainted with before, then it became an even harder task to understand Sapphire's emotions. Then, she remembered, that not every Homeworlder was as open as she was toward others-- especially not the nobility. If it were Chip he spoke to, then would it be that Sapphire resented him for his unconventional standing?
Padparadscha nodded to show her understanding, and sank back into her seat with her eyes lingering on Pink. She hoped that the poor gem wasn't going through too much turmoil.
Sapphire was just standing there. Neither of his companions said anything, although in the case of Pink Sapphire it appeared she was "locked" in her gem, unable to speak or act. Strange. Padparadscha was no doubt thinking, analyzing the situation. And Sapphire understood. This whole situation put him into a peculiar situation. One, he had no intention of being in.
"I am afraid I can provide no ETA for my acquaintance. In the meantime, there is little I can do to help alleviate this situation."
He got back his composure, once again appeared both motionless and emotionless. It was shameful he lost it in the first place. Yet, in some weird way, he enjoyed being surprised from time to time. He wasn't all that surprised when he saw a bright orange flash over the horison who was quickly closing in...

This Sapphire had some nerves. At first, he forbid him to be around Crystal gems, and than he is arrogant enough to ask for his help? Chip had to come even so, he would never leave an injured gem helpless if he could help. And right now it seemed he was able to do so. He used the warp pad in Beach city to warp nearby, than he used his full speed to reach this place as fast as he was able to.
Soon he saw the group. Three small gems, Sapphires from what he could see and a pearl, with a bigger group of gems standing nearby, mostly rubies, probably guards. He knew some sapphires, could those be them? Might be, he was too far to tell for sure. As he was getting closer he didn't notice a human child, that was playing with it's kite. Chip nearly crashed into it... in the last moment he avoided the collision, but it messed up his landing a wee bit.
He hit the ground only meters before the group, with enough force to create a small crater.

Time lagged on as Pink waited for the present to become past, desperately wishing it would allow her to see into the present as well, but, it seemed that she would require the ability to see into the future first, before the two type of visions would be able to allow her to see into the present.
She let out a metaphorical sigh, letting it echo through her mind at those thoughts, only for it to become a large scream, her thoughts and being being ripped apart for only a mere second, yet even from the past she could feel the pain.
As quickly as it had came, it began to fade away, her form stabilizing. She looked toward her body for explanation of what had just occurred, watching as it too, glitch and twist as it tried it's best to maintain the standard form, though from the looks of it, her left arm had disappeared.
The mood of the poor sapphire was beginning to plummet farther down as she looked away, though she was surprised when a giant ball of orange half-haphazardly land ed a few meters away, in-front of where she had moved her gaze.
Whom had arrived at the party, the Fire Opal Sapphire spoke of? Or a rebel bent on shattering them all?
Padparadscha nodded to Sapphire in acknowledgement of what he said, and watched as his concerns retreated beneath his icy demeanor. She was less able to hide her own worry, and tapped her fingers together nervously as she awaited the revelation of this fire opal. She wondered what it was that this gem would be able to do for Pink; she'd only met one gem of that cut and he'd never displayed healing abilities. Her eyes traced the sky, until she caught sight of a bright glow racing across. Then, the gem landed after his near-miss with a strange bit of Earthling technology-- It was Chip after all!
"Chip the Fire Opal!" She stood up with a smile on her face,"A surprise, to say the least!" Her smile quickly faded as she glanced down to Pink, who was getting worse by the second. "P-Pink?" Her eyes were wide; never had she seen anything quite this disturbing. Her head whipped back around to look to Chip,"She fainted suddenly, and cracked her gem..."

Chip stood up and was acting like nothing. He completely ignored the small fact that he just completely crashed. Simple accident, nothing more. He looked around the other gems and he smiled at Padparadscha and smiled, completely ignoring the Sapphire. "Oh, greetings, it's nice to meet you again."
He made the diamond salute and listened to what she had to say. "I see... well I am a healer, though I don't usually spread the information too much. I would hate to become a target just because I'm helping others. I should be able to heal any gem... that isn't a problem but there is one big BUT..."
He said straightly. His healing power was... undeveloped. It was working, yes, but there was a big weakness... "I can only heal a gem, when it's projection is gone... so someone will have to poof her, until I can heal her... I'm sorry..."
He said. Poofing a gem was no big tragedy... but some hated that...

If Pink wasn't already panicking before, she was now, after listening to the new arrival. She was terrified of taking damage, plus how would they attempt to poof her, what type of damage would they inflict on her? What if her form didn't retreat!?
These thoughts were screaming at her, her form glitching and twisting once again as her panic seemed to be the only thing that got through. Where they gonna gonna have to slice her up until she poofed like Iolite? Was it going to hurt? What if it hurts horribly?
What if they accidentally shattered her trying to make the body reform? What if she got stuck in the past forever?
Worrisome thoughts continued to scream at her, and the panic rose as she watched them all, waiting for who would strike her down.
"T-This is a horrible i-ideaa..." She muttered from within, turning from the scene as she tried to close her eyes, unable to watch. This, Chip. She hoped he was an actual healer...
With a salute in return, she bobbed her head in a quick show of acknowledgement to what he said-- before listening to the rest, her color slowly draining. While this seemed to be the best, and only real option available to them, the prospect disturbed her; she'd never been one to be able to easily strike, even at an enemy. It was a huge surprise to hear that Chip had the ability to heal, she supposed that would be a very handy thing to have at ones disposal in the future. That thought was fleeting, as there were more present matters at hand.
If they were going to poof Pink, they'd have to do it with a swift effectiveness that Padpara wasn't sure she could muster in this situation, her eyes flickered between the conscious gems-- Sapphire, Chip, even the pearl and the rubies who stood nearby. Then her gaze cast down to the one whose form glitched in response to her damaged gem. "W-well, how are we going to accomplish that?" Her tone implied that her hands were out of this part of the ordeal. It wasn't clear if the struggling sapphire was even conscious, but Padparadscha didn't want to risk piling onto the trauma that this gem had already experienced in her short life, if she were to mess up, hesitate for too long, or fail to poof her immediately.
Sapphire was slightly surprised by what Fire Opal said. He was well aware that the young gem was indeed a healer, he had no idea his healing was so... limited.
"Even when I and this Fire Opal have our... differences, his intentions seem to be good. He is also a skilled warrior. I believed he could destroy Pink Sapphire's projection without damaging her gem in any way. Yes, such action is certainly unusual, but in this instant, it might seem that we lack any other choices. Being forced into one's gem isn't always pleasant, but from what I heard it is better than this... glitching."
He was not speaking from direct experience, that was true, but he heard enough from his guardian and other gems...

Waiting for some sort of strike, nothing came. Had they already poofed her? Pink turned to look, hesitation in her gaze upon the scene. It took a second for the lag of time to become present, but she listened as the conversation was continued, instead of action
Retreating into her gem, on her own? That might be possible, though she wasn't sure. She couldn't speak, control, or see from her body, what was the chances she could release her form?
Well, can't say you tried, if you don't try...
Beginning to Focus on the release of her form, she tried to replicate the feeling of retreating. Her body, in the present, began to respond, however oddly.
It began to glitch more and more as she put more mental energy into the release, and at it's peak, her body began to become a blob of glitches as it tried to release it's form, rolling off the bench as it struggled between release, and returning to it's main form, creating a abomination.
The scene was similar to fused gem shards attempting to reform, however at it's core, it was nothing of the sort, as Pink struggled. However pain stopped her attempts as she felt a sharp pain against her cheek, her gem cracking further.
She had put too much energy into her release, her body disfigured as it finally returned to it's normal state, or well, what was considered normal for a cracked gem.
One of her arms, and legs, had become short. Where the hand, and foot, had attached straight to the socket of both hip and shoulder. Her other leg had become long and noodle like, as it seemed to roll away from the body, getting a fair distance away. Her remaining arm and neck had became knotted in a similar manner to the noodle leg. And her former dress, had became a long, plain white dress. Basically, what it would normally look like, if there wasn't any details.
Her head remained the same, but her eye had gone missing, and the gem had exacerbated it's crack.
Back, stuck in the past, Pink waited for the pain to fade, looking to the damaged she had caused herself.
The hue of Padparadscha's complexion continued to grow pale as she realized none of the gems present particularly wantedto carry out the act. This would be a shade more difficult than she'd hoped. Then, Pink Sapphire seemed to respond-- not in the way that Padpara would have hoped. She gasped, hands reaching out in a futile attempt to stop the poor young gem from tumbling off of the bench, onto her face. The sapphire climbed down from her own seat and rushed to Pink's side, fearing the worst as she watched the glitching form morph.
"I-it's worse!" She exclaimed, trying to stop herself from shaking as she turned Pink over, "She's getting worse!" The crack down her gem had split open, hair-lines webbed out from the initial fissure. Padpara tried to calm herself down. The gem wasn't shattered, and Chip could help. They just had to...poof her. That wasn't so bad, was it? She could reform...but part of Padparadscha wondered at that. She had no idea how the fire opal's powers worked, she didn't know to what extent Pink could be healed, or if she would lose data, or somehow have her data corrupted in this debacle.
She'd never caused a gem who wasn't corrupted to poof, much like Chip. It seemed that Sapphire was reticent to do so as well, as he'd deflected the responsibility of the act onto Chip with a bit of verbal maneuvering. A diplomat such as himself wasn't suited to the poofing of gems. Chip was a young gem, and Padparadscha was reluctant to force him to do something that could pile onto his own traumas. She was young by gem standards herself, but she had a few hundred years to her, and she also had combative facet to her. Perhaps it would be up to her after all. She swallowed, "We-- we have to do something..." Her eyes flickered between the other gems, tension rising in her shoulders. The sapphire feared the way they might see her once the deed was done. "S-someone has to do it--"
She stood up, and with a deep frown on her face, began to concentrate on summoning an extremely dense, blisteringly hot orb of plasma.

Chip was watching the gem trying to retract herself into her gem. It was a painful struggle, that was fruitless in the end. In fact it just made the whole situation worse. The gem cracked even more... to the point that it could be actually dangerous. If he wanted to help, he had to do something, he never wanted to do... yes, it was for the greater good... but if he could do this, he might do it for less greater good next time... and perhaps for the slight good the next... and the time after that? He couldn't... but he knew he must...
He knew what must be done. With lightning speed he summoned two lances, stabbing Pink Sapphire with both of them. The damage should be devastating to her light construct, but went nowhere near the gem... he didn't want to make it even worse. He didn't even look if he poofed her... he collapsed to the ground. He knew this changed him... he didn't know how, or how much, but he knew it has...
It was sort of... Disturbing to say the least. However the glitches in her mind seemed to subside for a few moments, even if there seemed to be a loud noise from time to time. She watched Paddy run over to her, and when she revealed the damaged caused, Pink's metaphorical heart sank, to the deepest ocean's bottom. She was gonna die today. She wasn't gonna be able to see Spade again, she would never get back to Homeworld, and she would die the most pitiful death known to gem kind, on this day!
These thoughts suddenly flew away though as she watched Paddy attempted to summon a orb of plasma to poof Pink, her nerves suddenly going into a frenzy as she watched in horror. "W-Wait-!" Exclaimed Pink from within, only to be cut off as she felt something stab her. Where, she didn't know, her body felt the pain everywhere, and it was quite suddenly joined by other pain, Pink crying out as she suddenly fell unconscious, her form destabilizing, and poofing within a instant.
She didn't see who had stabbed her, but she felt it, and until she reformed, she wouldn't know. And even then, maybe it was better if she didn't know.
In the end, Pink's mind fell into a slumber, waiting until her reformation would occur, or when this cracked gem of hers, was healed.
((Sorry if I cut you off Chip, I wasn't sure if maybe you didn't have time to post as crystal Sapphire, or didn't feel it necessary to, but since Pink reactions are just in her mind, it shouldn't effect it much, if at all. Anyway, since Pink is unconscious, You guys can continue to post without me until you've healed her, which I guess is when she'll reform? Unsure.))

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
