"Ah?" Simply responded the black gem; he hadn't moved to give chase after kicking Variscite aside, simply staying were he stood and stretching his legs without taking his eyes from the tan gem; little reason to chase after if he wasn't going to give it his best, after all.
Luckily, his words had gotten through his friend's thick projected skull quick; he had been swift to whip up a shard storm around himself.
"The grand finale, huh?" he echoed back as he stretched his arms above his head, his expression as unfazed as always. Not because he was unimpressed: his friend's sudden ability had been not been entirely expected, after all; he simply would not allow it to make him back out. His palms nearly pressed together as a sphere of throbbing white energy crackled between them, the small show of excess energy snapping at his projected skin.
"Well, since you've asked me to close the show." He said as his foot dug into the soil, before kicking off to the side, sending his body hurtling out of the dangerous projectiles' path before rolling to his feet. "This is one a special!" He said with a grin, the sphere of white energy pulsing before growing slightly between his palms. "You might want to dodge it."
Fluorite relaxed against the fountain, observing the battle. "They give out such devastating attacks. Aren't they scared to truly hurt one another," the purple gem mumbled lowly. He lightly swung his feet around and bobbed his head side to side.
I know I'd be scared to face something like that. Retreating into my gem is the last thing I would ever want to do.
He reminded himself of the fountain behind him and the thought calmed him. Right, Rose is why we're safe here. Fluorite shrugged and continue to just watch the fighters.
I wonder how Carbonado will get out of this situation. It'd be no surprise if he did something with those shock waves. Those mess with you, hmph.
"Heh..." snuck out from Variscites lips as he watched Carbonado dash out of the way from his attack, the shards that passed by his former location continued on ahead before Varis spun his chain around, as the shards whorled around in the current location past where the dark hued gem was standing. Taking a moment to look over at Carbonado still holding a grin across his face.
"This is one a special!" Hm? "You might want to dodge it." Varis saw his energy crackling about him as he seemed to charge his attack, "Dodge huh? Then ill skip and-" Half way threw speaking his suddenly switch to attacking. Whipping his chain about as the shards that passed Carbonado began to rush at him aswell as the shards still around Varis also rushed towards Carbonado. So he had shards rushing at him from his side and another set of shards rushing at him from the front where Varis was standing. He didn't move from his location as he set his attack forth, his aim was less to hit Carb then it was to hit the energy that was building in the dark hued gems hands.
For the first time since the sparring started, the black gem allowed himself a smirk. "That's your response, huh?" He muttered under his breath shortly before dashing towards the flying hail of shards Variscite had thrown his way. Suddenly, he suddenly hard onto the floor, his leg bending under him and his projected muscle coiling before suddenly sending snapping straight, sending his body hurtling upwards across the air; the sphere of crackling energy screeched a high pitched noise as the Carbonado reached quite the apex above ground, his hand clutching the sphere tight between his digits before he reared it back.
"Catch!" He said simply, his arm swinging forward and sending the crackling sphere of energy hurtling at high speed towards Variscite. Regardless of whether it hit Variscite, the ground, or a wall of shards, the rippling explosion and its shockwave would surely throw most of them off their feet. In Carbonado's case, it would send him hurtling across the air.
Fluorite admired the two gems powerful attacks being launched at one another. Carbonado's was most definitely impressive to the purple gem, but the concept seemed fairly simple to him. That energy that builds within Carbonado's hand is amazing, it contains so many useful elements to it. He watched as the crackling energy screeched and disturbed the air with its noise. The purple gem felt calm at this point but it quickly faded once he saw the energy was being launched to Varscite. So many outcomes could happen from this energy.
From what I've handled with, he seemed to use shock-waves. Just like how he fought me and my biggest weakness... The purple gem's interested smile never disappeared, though. He seemed so intrigued with the battle, and especially Carbonado's style.
Grinning as he watched his attack closing in, with Carbonado now sprinting at him he began to whip his chain around again quickly in one hand rapidly as he began calling his shards back towards him. As Carbonado was at his max height of his jump and called out "Catch!" with a grin he caused his shards to rise up forming a slight wall of shards as they tried to form a wall to protect Varis from the on-coming blast.
"Denied!" He called out right before Carbonados energy ball made contact with his wall of shards, "BOOOOOM!" the loud explosion did indeed knock Varis to his feet but before he fell from the shock wave he saw his shards shot out in all sorts of directions including both Variscite and Fluorite. Only having a moment to react before slamming off the ground from the wave of energy, he was able to pull away shards heading for Fluorite. While yes Fluorite most likely have avoided the shards himself but... it was all happening so fast that Varis didn't have time to think about that and just reacted.
While no shards came in Fluorite's direction, the tan gem wasn't so lucky, and was pierced multiple times from his own shards, "C-crap...." He mumbled before poofing away, A single Variscite gem lay on the ground surrounded by a flurry of small holes.
As the black gem was sent flying across the air, limbs flailing and body spinning, he couldn't help but wonder if it was a good idea to drop a bomb like that on a simple sparring match. Landing head first on the ground, he bounced off the floor a couple of times before coming to a stop, his fingers curling onto the ground as he tried to push himself to his feet.
'... Not one of my greater moments...' He could have at least tried to land on his feet. At least it seemed to have worked somewhat; he hadn't been able to get a good look of how Variscite had been knocked out, but he could wager a few guesses.
"Well, if it's stupid but it works..." He simply said, slowly standing up and stretching his back with a groan, starting his slow trudge towards the tan gem.
"Your fortune precedes you, friend." He said flatly as he reached down for the gem, plucking it off the ground with his fingers gently and turning towards the fountain. Moving towards it swiftly, the black gem dropped the tan gem into the water, before crossing his arms and looking up.
"Hmm..." After a few seconds of thinking, he simply shrugged and jumped into the water too. Might as well; his head was throbbing.
Fluorite's eyes just went back and forth as there were so many things going on. The shards, the shock-wave, more shards... He heard Varscite's shouting before the wall of shards exploded, sending Variscite backward. The purple gem's head was quickly picked up to the incoming shards, "Ahh!" he yelled, flinching to the incoming shards and allowing himself to disperse into a gas. He was stunned as the shards had been redirected and towards the tan gem.
The purple colored gas collected itself to form Fluorite his eyes filled with terror seeing the purple gem pierced by his own weapon.
Fluorite quickly stood and was about to go toward Varscite, though he noticed Carbonado already going towards the fallen gem. He took his seat and watched the two go into the waters.
Varis was rather upset with himself again... he could have turned that around rather quickly if he had not messed up. The green gem shined slightly as Carbonado picked it up. Once dropped into the water as where Carbonado came back out rather quickly Variscite didn't. His gem sunk all the way to the bottom and landed with a light "Clink" sound when it hit the floor.
It remained their for a few moments before it started to glow and rise up from the water, his body projected forth with a quickly flash of light. Dropping down into the water onto his feet, he didn't speak and with his hood already pulled up over his head he sighed... he felt like he had done nothing at all... his attacks were easy to avoid and even backfired onto him.
Turning out from the water and the other two gems, he stepped out from the fountain and began walking to the exit, he gave up a single wave without looking back before stuffing his hands back into his pockets. He didn't want to remain here for any longer... he had some more training to do... as well as other things were still plaguing him in the back of his mind.
"Oi, where the hell are you going?" Asked the black gem he hauled himself out of the fountain, extending his leg into Variscite's path as if to trip him. "Not even gonna say a good bye? Sheesh." He clicked his tongue. Variscite didn't look all that happy with the result of the fight, which was something that Carbonado could understand... the silent treatment however, was unacceptable. He didn't come all the way from the temple to have his friend act like a depressive human.
"If you didn't like how the fight ended, I can assure you that going off to train or whatever on your own will not be any better than just staying with us and practicing some more. Sheesh." He said whilst settling his chin onto his palm, looking somewhat annoyed.
Fluorite moved his head from side to side, watching the depressed gem walking off. "I-is... is this how they accept defeat?" The fight which Fluorite and Varscite had seemed closely to a tie, though he found that Varscite would've won. The purple gem stood to his feet and shrugged at the idea.
His attention shifted over to Carbonado, he didn't sound pleased with the tan gem's reaction. "Hmph..." Fluorite made his way over to them and silently nodded as the black gem preached. He's right... wait.. did he say us? Us as in me included? I'm included in us? Right?! Yes!? Maybe...?
"He's right," Fluorite stated, putting a hand at his hip and leaning onto right leg, "You're better off training with us, especially if you're upset of losing to Carbonado, you should at least be training with him."
Fluorite glanced to Carbonado and nodded his head slightly, unsure how he would respond to that statement. "His skills do appear to be refine." He smiled, as if looking forward to training.
Varis tripped over Carbonados foot falling flat on his face with a slight "Thump!" as he hit the ground his hood stayed plopped down over his head. He sighed with his face in the ground still, "Yeah... kind of deserved t-that one." He mumbled aloud before pushing himself up into where he was sitting with crossed legs under him. he hated that he made them have to talk to him like this... he figured they wouldn't mind if he left.
He was pretty wrong, it was nice knowing his friends did care about him, "I just... had some things I w-was gonna check out is all, im fine... really." He threw on a half smile quickly, he really was feeling better but just still had things on his mind he was working out. It had been a bit of time since what was bothering him started.... maybe it was time he got over his little hump and that meant he wanted to go and hit things... for real.
The black gem rested his head onto his palm as he watched Variscite face plant onto the floor. He almost felt like he should apologize, but the tan gem seemed to agree he deserved that, so he would save it for later. He shifted his attention to Fluorite, nodding at the purple gems words. However, it seemed like Variscite had other business to attend to.
The black gem wasn't sure if his friend was being honest about it, but he supposed that forcing Variscite to stay was probably not the best course of action. With a sigh, he nodded at the tan gem, leaning back onto his arms to look up.
"Okay then; We will see you later at the temple, I guess." He finished with a shrug.
Fluorite sighed as the gem claimed to be alright. Something about Varscite's seemingly gloomy nature in his voice irked Fluorite. Ugh, it feels like he makes up an excuse to leave. But oh well. The purple gem glanced to see that Carbonado approved of his words and smiled.
Fluorite stayed quiet and listened to the black gem's statement. We?! He said it again! We! We we we! The word ranged in his head with joy. Appears he had actually made a friend from the busy event.
"Cya later, Variscite. If you ever wanna train with me, I'd be glad to take some advice from you and be as much help as I can," Fluorite noted with a giggle. He gave a small wave.
